The Milwaukee Bucks take on the Los Angles Clippers on Saturday night. They are currently a season-best eight games over .500 at 25-17 and owners of the NBA’s longest winning streak (five games). The Clippers are currently 25-19 and hold the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
Of course, much of Milwaukee’s success this season, and especially as of late, is the result of the dominant play of two-time MVP and now nine-time All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In the Clippers, the Greek Freak finds himself up against a team that he has seen a great deal of success against throughout the course of his career. Giannis has faced Los Angeles 20 times since he entered the NBA and holds career averages of 25.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
Here are his top-five most memorable performances against them.
5. February 10, 2023: Bucks 119, 106
Playing without Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis, Giannis put Milwaukee on his back (as per usual) and led the Bucks to victory. He tallied 35 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and two steals while shooting 13/25 from the floor (1/2 from three) and 8/11 from the line.
Brook Lopez had 22 points and 15 rebounds (and three blocks) while Jrue Holiday added 19 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals.
4. March 10, 2024: Bucks 124, Clippers 117
The last time the Bucks faced the Clippers, Giannis had 34 points, seven rebounds, 10 assists, a steal, and a block. It was a noteworthy performance, too, because of the play of teammate Damian Lillard.
In this game, Lillard tallied 35 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists.
Giannis and Dame became just the second pair of teammates to score 30+ points and have 10+ assists in a game in the NBA since 1980:

Much of the 2023-24 season saw fans just waiting to see the two superstars fully connect on the court. This game gave them a glimpse of just how good of a pairing they can be.
February 28, 2021: Bucks 105, Clippers 100
This victory improved the Bucks’ record to 21-13 on the season, a year which saw Giannis lead them to their first NBA Championship in 50 years. While few could have guessed that the season would end with the Larry O-Brian Trophy coming home to Milwaukee, the Greek Freak played like the champion he is in this game.
Giannis scored 36 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, a steal, and four blocked shots while shooting 15/27 from the floor (2/7 from three) and 4/6 from the line.
Middleton added 19 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.
November 6, 2019: Bucks 129, Clippers 124
The 2019-2020 NBA season was a year that saw Milwaukee get off to an unprecedented start as they steamrolled through the league. It looked like they were clear favorites to win the Finals that year, but the COVID-19 pandemic stalled the season and, as it turned out, their momentum.
Before the world ground to a halt, though, Giannis put up one of his best performances against the Clippers early in the season. In this game, which saw the Bucks improve to 6-2 on the year, he finished with 38 points, 16 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and two blocks.
Later in the year, he was named NBA MVP for the second season in a row.
February 2, 2023: Bucks 106, Clippers 105
Milwaukee needed every single one of Giannis’ career-high in points against Los Angeles to beat the Clippers on this night. The Greek Freak put up an astounding 54 points, 19 rebounds, and two assists while shooting 21/39 from the floor (2/8 from three) and 10/15 from the line.
Middleton had 16 points and seven rebounds in just 20 minutes of play while Holiday added 12 points and eight assists.
They were the only other Bucks players to score double-digit points that night.
