The Milwaukee Bucks play their second game in two nights on Friday as they face off against Central Division rivals Chicago Bulls. The Bucks are coming off another dominant win over the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, 111-99, as they now look to keep their post-All-Star break unbeaten streak alive.
As has been the case of the past few weeks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is on the injury report again for Friday’s contest, which is why fans want to know: Is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs. the Chicago Bulls?
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Still Dealing With Knee Problem
According to the official injury report, Antetokounmpo is probable to play against the Bulls due to right knee patellar tendinitis. While the injury might sound a bit concerning, the truth of the matter is that this has been an issue Giannis has been playing through for weeks now.
He’s been his usually dominant self on the court, and it does not look like the knee has been bothering him at all. As such, the former back-to-back MVP is fully expected to suit up on Friday in what will be Milwaukee’s second road game in a row.
The only thing that casts a bit of doubt over Antetokounmpo’s injury status is the fact that the Bucks are playing on the second night of a back-to-back set. For all we know, the team could suddenly decide to give their superstar the night off amid their grueling schedule.
Nevertheless, with regard to the question of is Giannis Antetokounmpo playing tonight vs. the Chicago Bulls, the answer is that it’s very likely. We shall provide a final update on his status once it is official.
UPDATE: The Bucks announced roughly 30 minutes prior to tip-off that Giannis will be available to play against the Bulls.
