The Milwaukee Bucks will look to shake off the 115-102 loss on the road against the Brooklyn Nets as they get set to face the Boston Celtics on the road on Monday night. Tip-off for Milwaukee and Boston will be at 6:30 p.m. CT.
Entering this game, the Bucks are 1-2 to start the season and the Celtics are 3-0. This could very well be a must-win game for Milwaukee early on in the NBA season against Boston.
Projected Starting Lineups For Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics
Khris Middleton will be out for the Bucks due to injury on Monday night. This will be the fourth consecutive game he has missed this season. The projected starters for Milwaukee in this game will be: Brook Lopez, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tauren Prince, Gary Trent Jr., and Damian Lillard. The Bucks hope to be getting Middleton back at some point this season.
As for the Celtics, Kristaps Porzingis will be out with an injury once again in this game. The projected starters for the Celtics in this game will be: Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday. Boston might have the best starting lineup in the NBA. Whenever Porzingis returns from injury for them, Horford will most likely be coming off the bench for Porzingis.
Key Stats
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is on a mission to potentially win the MVP this season. Early on this season, he is averaging 33.0 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 6.0 APG, 0.7 BPG, and 1.3 SPG. Jaylen Brown is also averaging 24.7 PPG this season for Boston. One of the biggest stories when the Bucks play the Celtics is that Jrue Holiday gets to face his former team once again and some thought that Milwaukee should have never gotten rid of him in the first place.
Giannis Antetokounmpo for the Milwaukee Bucks early on this season is averaging 28.3 PPG, 12.3 RPG, 6.3 APG, 0.7 BPG, and 0.3 SPG. Damian Lillard in three games this season is averaging 26.3 PPG. The Bucks have been top-heavy to start the season and they need more production elsewhere.
