Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love missed two games earlier this season because of a knee injury. In the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he suffered a groin injury and did not return to game action.

Malik Willis came in the game for the Packers and played well. With the game tied at 27 in the fourth quarter, Willis threw a 51-yard pass to Jayden Reed. It set up the game-winning 24-yard field goal for Brandon McManus to give the Packers a 30-27 win over the Jaguars.

Jordan Love in the game completed 14-of-22 passes for 196 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception before leaving with an injury. After the game, head coach Matt LaFleur told the media, especially to Matt Schneidman of the Athletic, that there was no new update on the severity of his injury and the coaching staff felt that Love couldn’t protect himself.

Here is what the fans had to say about the update on Love’s injury:

Should’ve given Malik Willis the bag. And yes I’m kidding but seriously, if he continues playing like this then some team is gonna try hard to steal him away

Malik is just totally awesome. Best backup QB in the NFL because literally no team can anticipate his attack once he’s behind center. Just beautiful play. Blessings to him.

    Woof. That’s not good.

    — PackAttack12 (@PA1265) October 27, 2024

Ya he not playing next week.

    — Remmub. . . (@Juveturkee) October 27, 2024

It will be interesting to see if Jordan Love will be able to play next weekend. Also, the Packers fanbase is showing some love to backup quarterback Malik Willis. Head coach Matt LaFleur has been trusting him all season long.

Willis completed 4-of-5 passes for 56 yards and one touchdown. Time will tell if Malik Willis is going to start for the third time next week.

    Detroit Lions Next Opponent

Next weekend is going to be a huge showdown with first place in the NFC North on the line between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers. Detroit is 6-1 this season and Green Bay is 6-2 this season after winning this afternoon against the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6 record).

Some people feel like the Lions and the Packers could potentially be an NFC Championship Game preview this season. Even if Green Bay does not have Jordan Love next weekend against the Detroit Lions, Malik Willis, and the Packers are going to give Detroit everything they have.
