It’s official. Damian Lillard has now scored his first bucket for the Milwaukee Bucks during Thursday’s season opener against a shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers side. A lot of people have been anticipating this moment, so it comes as no surprise that it was met with some hyped reactions across the basketball realm.
Damian Lillard Gets Off the Mark for Milwaukee Bucks

Dame time came at the 8:07 mark of the opening quarter. Lillard cut to the basket and took a pass from Khris Middleton before hitting a trademark fadeaway shot to get himself off the mark for the Bucks:

Unsurprisingly, Bucks fans were totally hyped to see their new superstar score his first of many buckets for Milwaukee:

While Milwaukee supporters were happily celebrating this milestone moment, there were, of course, more than a few haters who made their feelings known on the mean streets of Twitter:

Whichever side of the fence you’re sitting on, there’s no denying that this was a historic moment for the Bucks. They gave up a whole lot to bring Lillard to Milwaukee, and they will obviously be hoping to get some early return on their massive investment.
In fact, many people believe that it’s championship or bust for this team this season. It’s hard to argue against this notion considering the fact that the Bucks just paired two of the greatest superstars in the history of the game on the same team. We shall soon find out if they will be able to deliver.
