Damian Lillard had the mean streets of Twitter buzzing after his incredible performance for the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night. Dame was the only superstar available for the Bucks on the evening with Giannis Antetokounmpo forced to sit out the game due to a calf strain.
Lillard knew what had to be done.
Milwaukee Bucks Twitter Reacts to Damian Lillard’s Heroics
Lillard went off against Toronto to log his first career double-double for Milwaukee. He finished with 37 points (just two points shy of his season-high of 39 points during his debut), 13 assists, four rebounds, two steals, and four three-pointers.
More importantly, Dame served as the focal point of the Bucks’ offense all night long. He punished the Raptors with his elite decision-making and unbridled ability to score the basketball. Needless to say, it was the vintage performance Milwaukee supporters have been waiting for from him.
Unsurprisingly, the fans were absolutely hyped to see Lillard at his best. They took to Twitter to express their excitement over what’s to come from the seven-time All-Star:

There’s no denying that Dame still has quite a way to go before he reaches peak form with the Bucks. After all, it’s just been 11 games. The farther along we go in the season, the more we expect Lillard to acclimatize with the squad.
At this point, however, you can’t blame Milwaukee fans for being all giddy about it.
