You can be sure that there’s going to be some extra fire under Jrue Holiday’s belly when he faces off against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum for the first time on Thursday night after his summer move.
Holiday himself admitted previously that he was completely taken by surprise when he learned that the Bucks had shipped him off to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the Damian Lillard blockbuster trade. He eventually found his way to the Boston Celtics, where he has now played an integral role in helping Jayson Tatum and Co. secure the best record in the NBA at the moment.
Jrue Holiday Sends Endearing Message to Milwaukee

Despite the rather unsavory nature of his sudden exit from Milwaukee, Holiday has nothing but love for his former team, ex-teammates, and of course, the city. So much so, that the two-time All-Star decided to take out an ad in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to send an endearing message to the organization and the fans ahead of his return to his former stomping ground.
According to Holiday, “it was the fans, the teammates, and the community in Milwaukee that really felt like home for me and my family.” He ended by saying that he “will forever cherish our friends, teammates, and special memories we created together.”
Jrue Holiday is back in Milwaukee today for the first time – and he made sure to send a thank you to the city & his teammates for a special stop in his journey. Class act all around, always.https://t.co/uXmLJVlUYi pic.twitter.com/SjYHLpCYMu

Milwaukee Bucks Fans React

This all-class gesture just goes to show what type of man Jrue Holiday is, which is why he remains a well-loved figure among the Bucks faithful even though he is now with the enemy.
Milwaukee supporters have reacted to Holiday’s message, and it is clear that Jrue still holds a special place in their hearts as well:
Jrue Holiday returns to Milwaukee in a Celtics uniform tonight
He deserves a standing ovation & a video tribute
He took out an ad thanking Milwaukee
But, make no mistake, he wants to beat us

The Bucks were a far better TEAM last year w Jrue. He is missed by this fan who appreciated his defense and team first unselfish play. Hoisting 3’s will not win the Bucks a championship this year.

Knocked away and stolen by holiday has got to be the most memorable piece of commentary in recent history
Jrue was a buck for life until he got shopped for Portland…deserves nothing less than a standing ovation, and then he can get booed during the game lol
