The Milwaukee Brewers team MVP a season ago was catcher William Contreras. He led the team in fWAR (5.4), hits (156), doubles (38), and OPS among qualified hitters (.824). On top of that he established himself as one of the best defensive catchers in the game. Despite all of these accomplishments he was snubbed off of a top 100 rankings list provided by ESPN.
Milwaukee Brewers star catcher William Contreras was snubbed off of a top 100 list provided by ESPN.

ESPN recently ranked the top 100 players right now and William Contreras was left off of the list. Other catchers that made the cut were Adley Rutschman (11), Will Smith (46), J.T. Realmuto (60), Sean Murphy (69), Gabriel Moreno (93), and Cal Raleigh (97).
Three Milwaukee Brewers players made the ESPN’s top 100 list.

Despite Contreras being left off three players from the Brewers were included. Willy Adames was ranked 86th, Christian Yelich 96th, and Devin Williams 99th.
Who made these rankings at ESPN?

A panel consisting of Jeff Passan, Buster Olney, Alden Gonzalez, Dave Schoenfield, Jesse Rogers, and Brad Doolittle put together these rankings. Comparing and ranking all MLB players of various positions can be difficult but it is hard to justify not having Contreras inside the top 100.
