Milwaukee Brewers 2023 first round draft pick Brock Wilken is starting to heat up at the plate. The Biloxi Shucker is riding a seven game hitting streak that includes two home runs over the past week. After missing time from facial surgery following a fastball hitting him in the head he appears to be getting back on track.
Here is more on how Brock Wilken is doing as well as some of his Double-A teammates.
Brock Wilken has a seven game hitting streak going with the Biloxi Shuckers.
21 year old Brock Wilken appears to be getting back on track following a scary injury that happened in just the fifth game of the season. He now has a seven game hitting streak going and is 9-32 during this stretch. Across 23 games his season slash line currently sits at .233/.281/.411. With just 90 at-bats underneath him these numbers can still change quickly.

A few other Milwaukee Brewers prospects are shining in Double-A.
Of Brewers top 30 prospects currently playing for the Shuckers there are a few that are doing well. Mike Boeve, the organization’s 13th ranked prospect, is currently slashing .289/.352/.406 across 32 games. On the pitching side top ranked prospect Jacob Misiorowski has 47 strike outs across 35.1 innings pitched and a 2.55 ERA. Bradley Blalock, who is the 17th ranked prospect and was briefly called up to the big leagues, has a 2.70 ERA across eight starts and 40.0 innings pitched.
Quite an evening on the pitching side for the Brewers minor leagues. Carlos Rodriguez at AAA, Jacob Misiorowski at AA, Logan Henderson’s High-A debut and Josh Knoth at A.

One Milwaukee Brewers prospect is struggling mightily at the plate.
There is one prospect who is not off to a great start this season and that is Eric Brown Jr. The infielder was Milwaukee’s first round pick in the 2022 draft and he has just a .170/.238/.214 slash line this year. He has missed some time with injury again this year in which in previous seasons he missed significant time due to injury.
