The Milwaukee Brewers are currently in the midst of their 2024 Spring Training. During this time, teams have the chance to assess and develop new talent while getting their veteran players back into the swing of things.
The Brewers have trimmed their roster 18 days before the regular season starts to give certain players more playing time.
Milwaukee Brewers Make Significant Roster Moves
Milwaukee Brewers reporter Sophia Minnaert reported the list of players that have been moved around.
Brewers roster moves:
• Jeferson Quero and OF Chris Roller optioned to Triple-A Nashville.
• RHP Bradley Blalock optioned to Double-A Biloxi.
• C/1B Wes Clarke, RHP Sam Carlson, RHP Evan McKendry, RHP Tobias Myers and RHP Carlos Rodríguez reassigned to Minor League camp.— Sophia Minnaert (@SophiaMinnaert) March 10, 2024
One player to note is Wes Clarke. He has been performing very well all spring. He had an average of .286, four home runs, and 7 RBIs in 21 at-bats.
18 Days To Opening Day
MLB teams usually reduce their roster size to include only the players who are most likely to make the team and move down to Triple-A. The Brewers will have to make many decisions, especially with a lot of young players. This season could be very exciting for fans because they will see new, young players in action.
