Milwaukee Brewers rookie Abner Uribe has not been in the big leagues that long. He was promoted just two days before the start of the All-Star break. His MLB debut came against the Cincinnati Reds and his second appearance most recently came against the Philadelphia Phillies. During that outing he threw a pitch at 102.2 MPH and made Baseball Savant history.

In total Abner Uribe threw 18 pitches against the Phillies. Seven of them hit triple digits and overall just one out of his 12 fast balls failed to reach 99 MPH. That pitch registered at 98.9 MPH.
To compliment the heater Abner Uribe has a wipe out slider. This combination is quite deadly and it should be exciting to watch major league hitters attempt to make contact against him. For this 23 year old rookie the sky is the limit and he could quickly carve out an important role in the Brewers bullpen.
