The Milwaukee Brewers have announced their 2024 Minor League players of the year. Last year position players Jackson Chourio and Tyler Black along with pitchers Robert Gasser and Carlos Rodriguez were the four award winners. This year Jesus Made and Cooper Pratt were announced as the position player winners while K.C. Hunt and Craig Yoho were the pitchers.
Milwaukee Brewers co-player of the year: Jesus Made
17 year old switch hitting Jesus Made had a terrific 2024 season in the Dominican Summer League. The switch hitter slashed .331/.458/.551 across 51 games, walked 39 times, struck out just 28 times, and also stole 28 bases. Extra base hit wise he managed nine doubles, six triples, and six home runs. It would not be surprising to see him in Low-A in 2025 with the Carolina Mudcats.
Milwaukee Brewers co-player of the year: Cooper Pratt
20 year old shortstop Cooper Pratt had an impressive first full season of professional baseball. The 2023 sixth round pick got his feet wet last year, but this year he made his way across three levels (Low-A, High-A, and Double). His Double-A tenure was brief as the Brewers promoted him for the Biloxi Shuckers playoff run, but Pratt deserved the recognition as he posted a .768 OPS and 27 stolen bases through 96 regular season games.
Milwaukee Brewers co-player of the year: K.C. Hunt
Former Mississippi State Bulldog K.C. Hunt put together his best professional season in 2024. At the age of 24 the right-hander started out of the bullpen in Low-A Carolina and ended up making his way to Double-A and being a dominant force on the mound. This year through 102 innings pitched he posted a 2.12 ERA and 139 strikeouts. He walked just 25 batters all year and posted a 0.93 WHIP.
Milwaukee Brewers co-player of the year: Craig Yoho
Craig Yoho, an eighth round picked in the 2023 MLB Draft out of Indiana University, was one of the best relievers in baseball this year. The righties changeup drew comparison to Devin Williams airbender. Yoho once went viral after a changeup he threw had 47 inches of vertical movement (Devin Williams averages 40-43 inches of vertical movement). He also got results on the mound as across three levels (High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A) he had just a 0.94 ERA across 57.2 innings pitched that also included 101 strikeouts, a .151 batting average against, a WHIP of 0.94, and 10 total saves.
