Milwaukee Brewers’ pitching department is still looking for people to fill their starting rotation but some of those they are looking at did not make a good account of themselves in the 9-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners.

Among them is Grant Anderson who is starting from the minors but pulled out for the spring training game due to the injury bug that is plaguing the team.
Manager Pat Murphy is not giving up on him thought. He believes Anderson still has a chance to prove himself as a veteran.
““Anderson’s a veteran. He gets it,” Murphy was quoted as saying by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
“He’ll be fine. He’ll figure it out. He didn’t throw great today but he’ll figure it out. I’m confident. Elvin did some things. You got to look at him. There’s something to work with there.”

Anderson was acquired by the Brewers in January this year through a trade with the Texas Rangers who got Moses Molina.
He played in 49 games for the Rangers, all as relief. He split his time between the 2023 champions and kn Triple-A Round Rock where he played 26 games last year, going 3-0 with a 2.93 ERA.

Problems continue to pile up for Murphy. The latest to go down is Tobias Myers who is dealing with an oblique issue.
They already don’t have Brandon Woodruff who will not be with them in the opening day as he is being gradual with his recovery from shoulder injury. He hasn’t played since 2023.

DL Hall is on the 60-day injured list since March 6 while Aaron Ashby gets shutdown for 2 weeks because right oblique strain. Nestor Cortes won’t be available as he is on paternity leave to attend to his pregnant wife due next month.
Other candidates for starting pitcher position being considered are Logan Henderson, Elvin Rodriguez, and Tyler Alexander.
