The Milwaukee Brewers farm system has been strong over the last few years and they have had players been productive in the big leagues from the minor leagues. Outfielder Jackson Chourio was the latest Brewers player to make an impact right away in the big leagues after being in the minor leagues.
Milwaukee has four players in the Top 100 prospects entering the 2025 season. One of the players who is on the list is shortstop Jesus Made, who is ranked #56 on the list. He will continue to climb up the list.
Milwaukee Brewers Prospect Shortstop Jesus Made Projected To Be Team’s Number One Ranked Prospect In 2027
It is never too early to look into the future, especially when it comes to baseball. Several different MLB writers on MLB.com were trying to predict each team’s top prospect by the time the 2027 season rolled around. For the Milwaukee Brewers, they think that shortstop Jesus Made will be the top prospect in the farm system by the 2027 season. MLB.com said:
“Made is the youngest player on the current Top 100 at just 17 after already showing the traits of a plus hitter with plus power and above-average speed in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League. There’s obviously a lot that could happen in the next two years to a player so young, but a lot of the skills he’s already displayed should be sticky enough, even as he faces an aggressive assignment to Single-A Carolina. If Made carries his DSL performance stateside as expected, he could be in the discussion for the No. 1 overall spot by ‘27.”
With him being only 17 years old, he is one of the prospects that will be on the rise in the Milwaukee Brewers farm system very quickly. He is 6’1″ and weighs 187 lbs. He is a switch-hitter and throws right-handed. Jesus Made is not projected to reach the majors until the 2028 season and it will be interesting to see where he starts the 2025 season in the minor leagues.
Jeferson Quero is Currently Brewers’ Top Prospect
The current top prospect in the Brewers farm system is catcher Jeferson Quero. He is ranked #47 on MLB.com overall and there is a great chance that he graduates from that list at some point during the 2025 season. Quero may be the backup catcher for Williams Contreras this season.
Had he not been hurt last season, there is no doubt that he would have gotten some at-bats with the Milwaukee Brewers in the big leagues. When Quero leaves the list, there is a chance that Jesus Made will become the top prospect in the farm system anyway.
