The Milwaukee Brewers starting rotation has dealt with quite a few injuries this season. Most recently Julio Teheran was placed on the 15-day IL with hip impingement, but the good news is that two starting pitchers are getting much closer to returning to game action.
Injury updates and new timelines for Milwaukee Brewers starting pitchers Brandon Woodruff and Wade Miley.
Brandon Woodruff, who has made just two Major League starts for the Brewers this year, has made two minor league rehab stints with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Those games have gone well enough that he will now report to Triple-A Nashville. He is scheduled to pitch on Tuesday, August 1. There is some hope that Tuesday could be his only start with the Sounds, but a lot will depend upon how his outing goes.
As for Wade Miley, he is scheduled to re-join the Brewers for the Washington Nationals series and is currently the scheduled starter for Wednesday, August 2. Wade Miley has been out of game action after dealing with some elbow pain that worsened during a bullpen. He last threw on July 9 against the Reds when he tossed six scoreless innings.
This is all good news for the Brewers. Their starting rotation just gave up a lot of runs to the juggernaut offense in the Atlanta Braves, so getting two of their top end guys back would be a big boost going forward.
