Former Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher CC Sabathia has been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Not long ago, he revealed that when/if he goes into the Hall, he will go in as a Yankee as spent 11 of his 19 MLB seasons with the New York Yankees and won a World Series with them in 2009.

Aside from the Brewers and Yankees, Sabathia also played for the Cleveland Indians, with whom he won the American League Cy Young Award in 2007.
The now Hall of Fame lefty finished his career with a record of 251-161 with a 3.74 ERA and 3,093 strikeouts.
CC Sabathia Being Traded to the Milwaukee Brewers Helped End a 26-Year Postseason Drought
What feels like just yesterday, the Brewers and the baseball world lost one of its most legendary figures: Bob Uecker. And while there is a very real and painful sting that Milwaukee could not bring home a World Series for him over the last several seasons, many fans forget that there was a decades long stretch when the team could not even sniff the playoffs, let alone be talking about a possible championship.
The 2008 season changed that. For the first time in 26 years, the Brewers were in contention for a postseason berth. They were, however, a dominant starting pitcher short on their current roster.
And that’s when they acquired Sabathia from Cleveland for four prospects, which included future All-Star Michael Brantley.
In 17 starts for the Brewers, the Hall of Famer went 11-2 with an astounding 1.65 ERA. He threw seven complete games and three shutouts, one of which came oh so close to being the second no-hitter in franchise history.
Many times, down the stretch of the season, Sabathia started games on short rest, willing himself and Milwaukee, a city starved for a playoff berth, into the postseason.
Sure, his half season with the Brewers is just a blip on the radar of his 19-year career, but here in the smallest market in baseball, where players are elevated to the status of international celebrities, he is still remembered fondly for everything he gave to the team.
His induction into the Hall of Fame is nothing short of well-deserved.
