Milwaukee Brewers prospect Alex Hall had a night that he will never forget on Wednesday, July 5. The switch hitting catcher for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers set a franchise record as he had a nine RBI game that led his team to a 14-5 win over the Beloit Sky Carp.
Wisconsin Timber Rattlers: Milwaukee Brewers catching prospect Alex Hall sets franchise record with nine RBI game.
Entering the game 24 year old Alex Hall was in an 0-22 slump at the plate. During his first at-bat of the night he broke out of it and hit a double that scored one run. In the third inning, hitting from the right hand side, Hall launched a grand slam. Two innings later, hitting from the left hand side, he launched a two run home run. His last at-bat of the night was another double that plated two runs and gave him his ninth RBI of the evening.
This season Alex Hall is slashing .220/.318/.405 with eight home runs and 27 RBI. The Australian born catcher is behind in the depth chart to top 30 prospect Matthew Wood and the Timber Rattlers also carry Darrien Miller as well. Hopefully this game sparks a hot streak at the plate for Alex Hall.
Game three of the series is Thursday night at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
