The Milwaukee Brewers selected third baseman Brock Wilken 18th overall in the 2023 MLB draft. At Wake Forest this year he belted 31 home runs in 66 games. His ability to slug the ball has continued into professional baseball and after earning a promotion from A-Ball to Double-A he clobbered a grand slam for his first hit with the Biloxi Shuckers.

Prior to being promoted to Biloxi Brock Wilken was playing with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. In 34 games he slashed .289/.427/.438 with two home runs and 27 RBI. He drew a walk on 27 different occasions and struck out just 32 times.
While there are only five regular season games left on the Shuckers schedule this season the team is currently loaded with six of the Brewers top 30 prospects. The full list includes Jackson Chourio (1), Jeferson Quero (2), Jacob Misiorowski (3), Carlos F Rodriguez (6), Brock Wilken (7), Eric Brown (10), and Freddy Zamora (26).
A season ago Milwaukee similarly promoted Jackson Chourio to Double-A with very few games left. This could be an indication that the Brewers will have Brock Wilken start in Double-A with the Biloxi Shuckers in 2024.
