The Major League Baseball offseason is currently underway, and teams are actively engaged in making trades and signing free agents. The Milwaukee Brewers have been busy this offseason, making several moves at both the minor and major league levels to strengthen all affiliated teams. In addition to bolstering their roster, the Brewer’s rivals have also brought a familiar player to their team.
Former Milwaukee Brewers Pitcher Signs With Rival
The Cincinnati Reds signed Brent Suter to a one-year deal on Thursday afternoon.
Free-agent pitcher Brent Suter and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a one-year contract, pending physical, according to sources familiar with the deal. It pays $2.5 million in 2024 with a $3.5 million club option ($500K buyout) for 2025.

Suter played for the Colorado Rockies in 2023, where he maintained an impressive 3.38 ERA across 57 games played. Prior to joining the Rockies, he was associated with the Brewers from 2016 to 2022. Although he was a reliable pitcher for the club, he was popularly known for his humorous pranks and went by the nickname “The Raptor.”
