One AFC team went above and beyond for their schedule release video Thursday when they took shots at their opponents and NFL icons, including a former Green Bay Packers quarterback. Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari thought his team’s video release was “mid.” One would assume he’d give the Los Angeles Chargers props for their troll job this year with their anime presentation.

The Chargers mocked all of their NFC North opponents, including the Chicago Bears, as they played on their many, many failures at quarterback.
The LA Chargers schedule video is amazing. When it comes to the Bears week – they did their homework (dying at the Mitch Trubisky caption) pic.twitter.com/HEq4sKTSdw

They went after another quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, for his offseason shenanigans.
should we REALLY make our schedule release video an anime AGAIN?

For their New York Jets matchup, they show Rodgers walking in Times Square. One of the billboards reads, “Out of GB, up in age.” But they didn’t stop with the Rodgers references there.

They mocked Las Vegas Raiders for losing the quarterback sweepstakes this offseason by seeing Rodgers’ name slide past in the slot machine that ultimately delivers Jimmy Garoppolo’s name. But the gut punch came for the Packers game. The Chargers recreated Rodgers in his “darkness retreat.” Taped to the wall in the background is Rodgers’ “to-do” list, which includes appearing on the Pat McAfee Show and planning his next Ayahuasca trip.
The wall also references his hopes of playing for the San Francisco 49ers and his teammate’s wish list with the Jets.

They did a great job skewering Rodgers; we’ll see if their football team can back the video up. That video is hard for any NFL communications team to top. It looks like more people were involved in the making of the video than Chargers fans that will be in the Los Angeles bleachers this season.
