Keisean Nixon quickly became a fan-favorite among Green Bay Packers fans this season. Of course, this is due to the spark that he gave the Packers’ kick return unit, returning kicks at a rate never before seen by a Packers returner. Despite not becoming Green Bay’s full-time kick returner until Week Nine, Nixon led the entire NFL in kick return yards with 1,009.
Per the Packers Twitter account, Nixon is just the third Packers player ever to lead the NFL in kick return yards. Al Carmichael did so twice in 1956 and 1957. Dave Hampton became the second Packers player to do so when he led the NFL in kick return yards in 1971.
