Jordan Love is already working out with teammates
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will be the full-time starter next season. He’s already preparing in the offseason to be ready. The Packers are working on a deal to send Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets. With Rodgers gone, head coach Matt LaFleur said the team needs to temper their expectations for Love next season.
A video posted by running back Aaron Jones on his Instagram shows him working out with Love in a field. Love is practicing throwing to Jones before OTAs even begin. Love, if he’s worth his contract as a competitor, is looking to succeed the already lofty expectations of fans in Green Bay. Here’s the footage on Twitter via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:

That looks a little different than the starter in Green Bay last season. Rodgers skipped out on three weeks of mini-camp in 2022. According to Bill Huber with Sports Illustrated, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said at the conclusion of the 2022 season that he wants all of his leaders at OTAs:
“We want all our players here in the offseason,” Gutekunst said last month. “When guys are together, first of all, I think there’s more energy in the building [and] certainly when your quarterback and leader’s in the building. So, we want all our guys here. It’s optional, voluntary, as you guys know, with the exception of the mandatory minicamp.”
Love seems to have bought in.
