Jordan Love had to wait his turn but he is now the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. Ever since Jordan Love was drafted he has been in the shadow of Aaron Rodgers. However, now that Aaron Rodgers is a New York Jet, Love has dedicated the offseason to getting ready to take over. His trainer revealed videos of his offseason work and progress.
Jordan Love is Looking Sharp
The fact that Jordan Love was the man caught in a struggle sometimes makes people forget that he was a first-round pick. Love was a very talented, natural passer in college, but his mechanics needed some work. This is nothing new for most rookie quarterbacks. However, what Love had that most rookie quarterbacks don’t is a future Hall of Fame quarterback to learn from.
For three seasons Love sat behind and learned from Rodgers while also doing his own offseason workouts. Love is focused on being the best version of himself now and not trying to mimic Rodgers. His trainer Steve Calhoun shared a video highlighting his footwork and throws.
Off-season training with my Jedi @jordan3love Start offseason with top of the drop movements, then have it translate 2 the whole drop & game like movements! I’m excited 2 C J-Love’s progression the rest of the summer & get him ready 4 week 1. @packers @Peter_Bukowski @TyDunne pic.twitter.com/GaQoh6xVOy

What’s Next for Jordan Love
OTAs have started and Love will get a chance to showcase his work with the rest of the team. Coaches and players have raved about both Love’s leadership and talent, but now is his time to show up and show out. Come week one the Packers will need him to be playing at a high level.
Obviously, he will struggle in his first year as a starter, but the Packers are hoping he can keep them competitive while also growing.
