The Green Bay Packers gave up over 200 rushing yards to the Detroit Lions on Thursday night. Packers fans hammered defensive coordinator Joe Barry for his comments Monday morning on how he plans to improve the defense before their Monday Night Football contest in Week 5.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said in his presser following the 34-20 defeat to the Lions that the defense was “insane” to do the same things against the run when they didn’t work. LaFleur’s message was sent loud and clear to Barry.
According to Matt Schneidman with The Athletic, Barry said in his presser Monday morning that the Packers’ defense was exploring all options before their Week 5 game against the Raiders.

Barry doesn’t quite have the fix yet. But he’ll need to before playing a Raiders team with the ever-dangerous Josh Jacobs at running back.

Such a meaningless non-answer. He's lucky that he's in Green Bay where the beat reporters never push.

Don’t worry everyone! It’ll look the same

Dude has been a DC for around a decade and still doesn’t know how to stop the run. Packers have one of the worst coaching staffs in the NFL. It’s an embarrassment at this point

I have a feeling the defense is going to look the exact same

Thought they were doing that in the off-season?

Fire him now. LaFluer, it’s up to you. Don’t do a repeat Mike Pettine on this. Even on their bad days, Leonard and Lovie Smith are light-years better than Joe Barry.
