Jae Crowder came to the Milwaukee Bucks in a midseason trade. After being targeted by the team for months, he finally made his way to the team with the expectation that he would help the team. By the end of the series with the Miami Heat, he could not even make it on the floor. After the series loss, Crowder slammed the Bucks’ organization over his lack of usage.

Jae Crowder Slams Milwaukee Bucks
Crowder sat out most of the year because he wanted a trade. He seemed excited and ready to help a Bucks’ team that was looking to capture a championship. Now, he is questioning why the team traded for him. “I don’t know my purpose here,” Crowder said in a recent interview. This is not what you want to hear from a player the team gave up five second-round picks for. It was a complete disaster of a trade and now it seems they also have an unhappy player on their hands.

Who Is At Fault?
There is plenty of blame to go around. Mike Budenholzer is not known for making adjustments on the fly and opted to sit Crowder and pretty much never use him. However, I do think that Crowder’s play did not help him stay on the court. His defense is what many were excited about but he seemed to have lost a step. Offensively he couldn’t consistently hit shots and often had some extremely rough nights. I wonder if the half of a season off didn’t help Crowder. Pair that with poor coaching and it was a recipe for disaster.
The Milwaukee Bucks have more problems than Jae Crowder. They have an aging team with many players looking to get paid. They have to decide who to pay and who not to pay as well as who will coach the team next year. The Bucks offseason begins now albeit sooner than many fans wanted.
