Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft has shown massive improvements in his second season in the NFL. Kraft has become the number one tight end in the offense and it will be interesting to see if he will continue to perform well.
Kraft caught a 3-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter from Malik Willis in the 30-27 win for the Packers over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tucker Kraft led the team in receiving with three receptions for 78 yards receiving and one touchdown.
Green Bay Packers Tight End Tucker Kraft Gets Critical Of the Team After the Win
Even with the team improving to 6-2 on the year, Kraft knows there is a lot more room for this team to grow heading into November. There was no score from both teams in the first quarter of this contest. After the game, Tucker Kraft made a critical statement to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman and said:
“We need to start taking accountability for what’s going on with our offense early in the half. That’s just not us … we’ve got to start holding each other more accountable. I haven’t looked at the film yet, but there’s errors by everybody on the field.”
This is a very interesting statement because, despite the slow start in this game from the offense, they did score 30 points. They also faced adversity in this game with having to deal with a Jordan Love groin injury. Malik Willis did a fine job filling in for him once again.
Can’t Start Slow Against the Detroit Lions
The one thing that the Packers can’t do in Week 9 at home is start slow against the 6-1 Detroit Lions. It will not be good for them if they were to fall 14-0 early in the game against Detroit. Back in Week 4, they fell 28-0 against the Minnesota Vikings and almost rallied to win the game but lost to Minnesota 31-29 then.
The Lions could very well be the best team in the NFL and the Packers are right behind them. Tucker Kraft making this statement a week before the Lions game is very interesting timing. They must be sharper out of the gates next weekend no matter if Jordan Love or Malik Willis is behind center against Detroit.
