Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft was recently likened to San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle and Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce in terms of potential, and the team plans to “feature him more” on offense in the 2025 campaign.
“I think that’s on us to find him and feature him,” LaFleur said via Zach Kruse of Packers Wire. “When he gets the ball in his hands, you feel him. If there’s an area we have to do a better job on, it’s featuring the tight end.”
Kraft said he is willing to take on the challenge set for him by his coaches, especially if it makes the team better as a whole moving forward.
“I’m just gonna come back and bring it again in 2025,” Kraft said via Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com. “You guys are gonna see the same thing, same goals I want to set out. I want to be the best blocking tight end in the NFL while also being that guy. I want to be the guy in Year 3.”
Tucker Kraft’s second season with the Green Bay Packers
Tucker Kraft’s sophomore NFL campaign started with adversity, as he missed the OTAs, minicamp, and the start of training camp due to a torn pectoral muscle. To his credit, he worked his butt off and managed to play 18 games (including the playoffs).
In his second season at Green Bay, Kraft caught 50 of 70 targets for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per target. He was the team’s second-most productive target behind Jayden Reed (857 yards).
The South Dakota State product also led all tight ends in average yards after the catch (9.3) and forced missed tackles (15), per PFF, despite an average depth target of five yards. Kraft also made four contested catches.
