Tucker Kraft emerged as one of the surprise packages for the Green Bay Packers this 2024 season, and head coach Matt LaFleur believes his young tight end can only get better from here.

During a recent presser, LaFleur was asked if Kraft has the potential to be a George Kittle or Travis Kelce type of player, and the 45-year-old tactician said, “100 percent.”
“I think that’s on us to find him and feature him,” LaFleur said via Zach Kruse of Packers Wire. “When he gets the ball in his hands, you feel him. If there’s an area we have to do a better job on, it’s featuring the tight end.”

In his second season at Green Bay, Kraft caught 50 of 70 targets for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 14.1 yards per target. He was the team’s second-most productive target behind Jayden Reed (857 yards).
Green Bay Packers’ Tucker Kraft makes a vow against complacency
To say that Kraft had a breakout year for the Green Bay Packers is an understatement. The South Dakota State product led all tight ends in average yards after the catch (9.3) and forced missed tackles (15), per PFF, despite an average depth target of five yards. Kraft also made four contested catches.

Speaking to the media on Monday, the 24-year-old said he’ll continue to improve this summer.
“Personally, just continue to develop,” Kraft said. “Complacency is a constant cat and mouse game. You just have to find a way to wake up every morning and win that battle.”
