The Green Bay Packers figure to place a focus on their offense this off-season.  Reports have already indicated they are at least interested in trading for wide receiver DK Metcalf.  Additionally, with Christian Watson sidelined to start the 2025 season, wide receiver is suddenly a big need.

However, Green Bay decided to secure the running back position right before free agency kicks off.

On offense, the Packers have signed the following free agents:

Green Bay has made two important roster moves ahead of free agency. They made the decision to tender exclusive rights free agents Bo Melton and Emmanuel Wilson. Both players have been quality depth and role players.

Wilson ended up having the bigger role of the two during the 2024 NFL season. He played in all 17 games, rushing for 502 yards and four touchdowns on 103 carries. He also caught 11 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.

Melton, on the other hand, did not find his way onto the field a lot throughout the year. He caught eight passes for 91 yards.

Even though Melton did not have a huge impact, he’s a quality wide receiver. He’s the kind of piece that can step onto the field and play at a high level consistently whenever called upon. Keeping that kind of player around is important.
