The Green Bay Packers added a fierce defensive lineman to thier roster Monday. The Packers made several roster moves after rookie minicamp this weekend as the team looks to head into OTA practices with their 90-man roster filled out. Several new faces were added to the team as undrafted rookie free agents. The Packers, who have been quiet in free agency, are building their 2023 team with many youth from the draft and the UDFA pool.
The Green Bay Packers sign Antonio Moultrie

According to a statement by the Packers, they are adding to their defensive line with Antonio Moultrie. Moultrie spent a few seasons with UAB before transferring to Miami. Per the statement, he earned All-Conference USA honors during his time at UAB:
“(mole-tree) Moultrie (6-4, 275) played four seasons at UAB (2018-21) before transferring to Miami (Fla.) for the 2022 season. Overall, he played in 47 games and recorded 124 tackles (72 solo), 12.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, an interception, four passes defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Moultrie earned second-team All-Conference USA honors in 2020 and was honorable mention All-Conference USA in 2021. He will wear No. 64 for the Packers.”
Moultrie didn’t see as much playing time at Miami as he did with UAB. He recorded 14 total tackles in 2022. Moultrie didn’t have much of an impact as a pass rusher at the college. The tape I’ve seen of him shows he has great skill in stopping the run.

He uses his frame to march into the backfield and excells in creating tackles for loss. According to Pro Football Focus, Moultrie created 48 stops in his college career. That could be a crucial addition to a team that lost Dean Lowry to free agency this offseason.
