The Green Bay Packers are reeling after a road loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. Before the season, many thought that the Packers would be getting a mid-round pick as the team would go through growing pains but still win some games. Now, the Packers may be at the top of the draft. Following the loss, the Green Bay Packers NFL Draft position has them picking in the top ten.

Green Bay Packers NFL Draft Position Following Loss
The Packers currently sit at 7th overall in the draft. It puts them right after New England and right before the division-rival Vikings. The draft position is always the silver lining in every loss for a bad team. While cheering for a better draft pick is never a position I personally like to be in, this team definitely needs top-level talent on the roster. The 2024 draft has a lot of quarterbacks which depending on how the rest of the season goes could be a conversation but there are also a lot of quality players that would fill a need.

Lots Of Options
There are a couple of great offensive tackles at the top of the draft. Joe Alt out of Notre Dame, JC Latham out of Alabama, and Olu Fashanu out of Penn State are all quality tackles and would be great replacements for David Bakhtiari. With the top teams most likely looking to fill the quarterback position, the Packers could be in a position to get one of these players. There is also the option to trade down. If a quarterback-needy team offers the Packers a king’s ransom, it would help replenish the talent on the roster or give more ammunition for trades.

The Green Bay Packers NFL Draft position will likely change throughout the season. There is a lot of season left and we have seen teams come on in the second half. Hopefully, the team will improve but if not, the Packers will likely have a top pick in the 2024 draft.
