Green Bay Packers: Mason Crosby Wife Responds to Simone Biles Tweet; Indicates Kicker Will Not Return in 2023

The Green Bay Packers signed safety Jonathan Owens to a contract yesterday. Owens started all 17 games for the Houston Texans last season while accumulating a career-high 125 tackles. However, a great deal of the excitement surrounding Owens’ signing came as a result of who he is married to: Olympic legend Simone Biles. After Biles helped break the news of her husband’s new contract, she took to Twitter to ask Packers fans for recommendations for what to do, where to eat, where to shop etc., in Green Bay.

While Owens’ signing all-but spelled the end of the line for Adrian Amos, a response to his wife’s post by the spouse of Mason Crosby all-but confirms the Packers will have a new kick in 2023.

As anyone new to a different city or state would do, Simone Biles reached out to her many followers for recommendations of what experiences she and Owens should pursue in Green Bay. Mason Crosby’s wife responded, and her response sounded like she and her own husband would not be returning:

Sad we will miss you, we just ended a 16 year run with the team…that being said…I’ve got stuff I need to share with you. Little city with a big heart and some AMAZING stores and restaurants. We loved our time there and so will you! Let’s talk coats, boots, custom packer gear…

“We just ended a 16-year run with the team.” It does not get any more clear than that: Crosby will not be coming back, despite Brian Gutekunst saying they wouldn’t close the door on a potential reunion. In any case, it is a positive thing that Mrs. Crosby spoke so highly of the fanbase and of the city as a whole. Still, it is surreal knowing Crosby, the team’s all-time leading scorer and the kicker on their last Super Bowl winning team, will not be back.
