The Green Bay Packers got a huge victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and a late-game interception by Keisean Nixon helped immensely. With the Packers clinging to a five-point lead and the Chiefs threatening to take the lead, Nixon picked off Patrick Mahomes. It allowed the Packers to run some clock, take an eight-point lead, and ultimately win. After the game, Nixon revealed that he knew the play was coming and revealed to the NFL a tell on Mahomes.

Green Bay Packers Keisean Nixon On Patrick Mahomes’ Tell
Nixon was asked about the interception because looking at the replays, he played it perfectly. He broke on the ball before the receiver did and recognized the play immediately. Apparently, Mahomes had a tell and Nixon saw it right away.
“We were watching mannerism tape earlier in the week and (Mahomes) tapped his knee and they put two off the ball and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ve seen this before.’ I knew he was gonna run it and he ran it.”
That is a heads-up play by Nixon. In a game like this, there is so much going on that something like that is easy to miss. For Nixon to recognize it, act on it, and get the interception speaks to how much he has improved over the season. While Nixon should get a lot of credit, this one is on coaching.

Credit To The Coaching Staff
This is something that the coaching staff must have pointed out at some point this week. Someone on the defensive staff saw it on film and it was clearly something they talked about in their preparations. While there is plenty to gripe about with the Packers defensive coaching staff, this is a huge win for them. It means they are preparing their players for the matchup and it is allowing the players to make big plays in big moments.

This was such a critical moment in the game and it was a clever play by Nixon. Did he reveal to the rest of the league Mahomes’ tell? The MVP quarterback might have to work on some new hand signals this week.
