The Green Bay Packers re-sign a linebacker
The Green Bay Packers have a lot of needs and little cap space to work with this offseason. The Packers have re-signed some players to the team that offered great value for their cost. That trend continued Thursday with the signing of a linebacker.
According to Ari Meirov, the Packers have agreed to terms with pass rusher Justin Hollins. He’s signing a one-year deal worth $1.2 million. Hollins tested out free agency waters this offseason and recently met with the New York Giants.

The former 2019 fifth-round selection by the Denver Broncos managed to record 3.5 sacks in his first season with the Packers. He added 21 solo tackles, seven assists, and 19 stops, to his stat sheet in 2022. Hollins earned a 54.0 overall grade by Pro Football Focus for his play last season.
Hollins is a welcome addition to the Packers’ defense for 2023. His deal is cost-effective, and the Packers desperately need to keep pass rushers on the defense. The Packers recently saw Jarran Reed leave for the Seattle Seahawks and Dean Lowry sign with the Minnesota Vikings.
