The Green Bay Packers suffered another tough loss on Sunday. This time around, their effort came up short against the Pittsburgh Steelers as Kenny Pickett and Co. secured a hard-fought 23-19 win at the Acrisure Stadium.
The Packers went back to losing ways on Sunday following their dominant 20-3 win against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9, which now has them staring at an ugly 3-6 record.
Jordan Love Comments on Green Bay Packers Loss
After the game, a disappointed Jordan Love did not have too many nice things to say about his team’s performance against Pittsburgh. The young quarterback could not help but vent out a bit after watching his squad suffer yet another heartbreaking loss:
“Very frustrating,” Love said, via Mike Spofford of the team website. “We’ve been put in this situation a lot of times, but we have not found a way to win it.
“It is frustrating, but we’ve just got to find a way, dig deeper. It comes down to so many different plays in the game. We can execute better to take advantage of those situations. We’ve got to definitely find a way.”
Love hit the nail on the head here. The Packers had a handful of opportunities to carve out a better result but in the end, it all boiled down to a lack of execution from Green Bay.
“Definitely a lot of plays we left out there, some drives we left points out there,” Love said. “But I definitely like the direction we’re headed as an offense.
“It just comes down to execution, making plays at the end right there. We have to find a way to make those plays to win it.”
Love himself had anything but a stellar performance in this one. The 25-year-old went just 21-of-40 on his pass attempts against the Steelers for 289 yards. Love did score two touchdowns, but he also had two costly interceptions throughout the contest.
“The main point is we didn’t win,” he said. “That’s what we’re trying to do. A lot of growth, a lot of positive things we can build upon.”
