Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been very good this season despite the ups and downs for the franchise. Love has completed 63.1% of his passes for 3,843 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He has also rushed for 248 yards on 47 carries and four touchdowns, along with averaging 5.3 yards per carry.
On Tuesday night, the tweet on April 23, 2020, on the Packers’ Twitter page resurfaced of Jordan Love being selected in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah State. When the pick happened almost four years ago, there seemed to be very mixed reactions at the time.
General manager Brian Gutekunst traded up to draft Love and Aaron Rodgers was the quarterback at the time this happened. Love sat behind Rodgers for a few seasons before being the full-time starter just like Aaron Rodgers did when he was learning behind Brett Favre.
It appears as if Love is going to be the quarterback for the long haul. It will be interesting to see what kind of contract he is going to get when the time comes.

It always feels good to look back at the comments when something happened in the past. This is what some of the reactions were then and here is what some of them are now:

Way to give up on our super bowl window. We have 2 main needs: a WR and a LB. Patrick Queen is on the board and you trade up to get a damn QB. You have got to be shitting me. Extremely pissed

Thank god. Rodgers is so overrated. As a packers fan this is awesome. Let’s go !!!!

There were a ton of mixed reactions when Love was drafted. However, the success didn’t happen overnight and the success is happening between our very eyes. It is worth reading some of the other comments made by the Packers fanbase because it is quite hilarious.
When Green Bay selected Love, Aaron Rodgers won MVP the following season and got the number one seed in the NFC before losing to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. Rodgers and Favre each won a Super Bowl with Green Bay’s franchise. The Packers fanbase hopes Love lifts the Lombardi Trophy as well.
