Green Bay Packers Get Another Weapon For Jordan Love From Dallas Cowboys (Trade Proposal)

The Green Bay Packers are looking to continue their quarterback success in 2023 and beyond.  After trading Aaron Rodgers, the Packers handed the keys to Jordan Love.  They are hopeful he will be their third franchise quarterback in a row.  Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed figure to be the top three wide receivers for the team going into week one.  However, one trade could change all of that.

Wide Receiver Michael Gallup Named As Potential Trade Candidate For The Dallas Cowboys (NFL)

Matt Holder of Bleacher Report named Michael Gallup as the odd man out in Dallas:

After racking up nearly 2,500 yards and 13 touchdowns during his first three years in the league, the last two have been frustrating for Michael Gallup.

The 27-year-old has battled injuries and posted back-to-back seasons with career lows in receiving yards with 445 in 2021 and 424 in 2022.

The Cowboys had to bring in some reinforcements and that’s why they traded for Brandin Cooks during the offseason. That alone puts Gallup’s future with the team in doubt, and Patrik Walker of the team’s website noted that second-year wide receiver Jalen Tolbert has been emerging during training camp.

Since Dallas now has two other options to serve as a second or third target behind CeeDee Lamb, Gallup is even more expendable. His contract is also team friendly as he’s signed through 2026 but it also includes a potential out after this season, increasing his value on the market.

Green Bay Packers Land 27-Year-Old Michael Gallup For Cheap From the Cowboys In This Trade Proposal

In the last two seasons, Gallup has been less productive than he was early in his career, and second-year wide receiver Jalen Tolbert has emerged in the preseason.  With Gallup’s last 1,000-yard season coming in 2019, and his last full season in 2020, the Packers may be able to acquire him on the cheap.  Our proposal is as follows:

    Green Bay Packers Receive:

    • Wide Receiver Michael Gallup

    Dallas Cowboys Receive:

    • 2024 Fifth Round Draft Pick
