Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love played in his first career playoff game on the road on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. He showed no signs of nerves by completing 16-of-21 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns in a 48-32 win for Green Bay over Dallas.
Love threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Dontayvion Wicks in the second quarter, a 38-yard touchdown pass to Luke Musgrave in the third quarter, and a 3-yard touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs in the fourth quarter for Green Bay. Doubs was the Packers’ leading receiver in this football game with six receptions for 151 yards receiving and one touchdown.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur praised Jordan Love to Ryan Wood, the Green Bay Packers USA Today beat writer by saying:
“Man, Jordan Love. Wow. That’s about all I can say. Wow. What he did, the poise he shows, the command he shows. The touchdown pass to Dontayvion Wicks, it was an out-look. We were obviously in empty set. He had, I think it was Tucker, max protect, and it was a great job by Tuck and the rest of our offensive line. For him to hang in there and get that throw, and Wicks made a hell of a catch. But those are the things that you can’t necessarily, you can try to coach it. But what a moment for him. To me, that was a big-time play. It just shows the growth that he’s had since his first start against KC to now. Just so proud and happy for him. He is –he’s a dude. He’s a real dude.”
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Is Playing With House Money
The Packers and Love are playing with house money at this point. They have nothing to lose and this is what makes them very dangerous. Green Bay is going to be counted again when they go on the road to face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round.
It was a shock how well Love played and beat down the Dallas Cowboys. He did have some help also from running back Aaron Jones. Love is continuing his sensational story of growing up and will see how it progresses moving forward.
