Green Bay Packers wider receiver Christian Watson is determined to find a real solution to his problematic hamstring. It starts with finding out just what exactly is causing it, which is a top priority for Watson now that the Packers are already in offseason mode.
Via Rob Demovsky of ESPN:
“I gotta find out what the root of it is,” Watson said. “That’s the start and then I’ll be able to formulate a plan around that. But if I can find out what kind of things can possibly be leading to it, make sure I’m doing the right things in the offseason, doing the right things during OTAs, into training camp, just find ways to make sure I’m doing everything I can to be conscious of it. That’s my No. 1 plan.”
Green Bay Packers WR Christian Watson Looking to Get Over Hamstring Issues
When healthy, Watson can be a very dangerous downfield weapon for Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers. The problem is that his hamstring has gotten in the way of his availability a number of times. In his first season in the pros in 2022, Watson played in only 14 games. In 2023, he appeared in fewer games, seeing action for only nine contests. Through his first two seasons in the NFL, Watson managed to record 1,033 receiving yards and 12 touchdown catches.
The hope for Watson and the Packers is that he will be able to completely get over his hamstring issues before the 2024 NFL season when Green Bay looks to build on the momentum they came away with from the relatively successful 2023 campaign.
