Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has been ranked in many people’s quarterback rankings before the start of the 2024 season. A season ago, Love was ranked very low in quarterback rankings because there was no idea what he could become as the starting quarterback.
The start of the 2024 season was very bumpy for Jordan Love. They were 2-5 at one point last season and some fans wanted him benched for Sean Clifford. Love would change the trajectory over his NFL career after that point. He helped the Green Bay Packers finish with a 9-8 record and get into the postseason.
What was impressive about Love last season was that he did not have a true number one wide receiver and trusted all of his teammates. He was very impressive with some of his decision making and his throws into tight windows. It will be interesting to see what he does once again this season as the starting quarterback. Some think he could be a one-year wonder.
Danny Parkins Ranks Chicago Bears Quarterback Caleb Williams Ahead Of Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love In Who He Would Start a Franchise With
Danny Parkins filled in for FS1’s Colin Cowherd on The Herd on Tuesday. One of his segments was which Top 10 NFL quarterbacks he would start an NFL franchise with. In his rankings, he had Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams ranked seventh and Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love ranked ninth on his list.
Parkins said about Love being ranked ninth:
“Isn’t it a little sickening that the Packers maybe did this three times in a row? And went from Favre to Rodgers to Love?”
Danny Parkins did admit during this segment that he is a Chicago Bears fan. That could be a reason why he had Caleb Williams ranked ahead of Jordan Love on this list, but there is no excuse to have Williams ahead of Love on this list at the moment.
Forget having Williams ranked ahead of Love on this list, he doesn’t even have Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff on this list, who was easily a Top 10 quarterback in the NFL a season ago. Caleb Williams will have a lot to prove in the NFL and he is very talented. Williams has a lot of questions about his leadership. Love is a very good leader inside Green Bay’s locker room.
However, Jordan Love last season completed 64.2% of his passes for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He also rushed for 247 yards on 50 carries and four touchdowns, along with averaging 4.9 yards per carry.
