Green Bay Packers star cornerback Jaire Alexander has been dealing with the worst kind of injury this season. Nagging injuries, especially the shoulder, heal slowly and are difficult to come back from. However, Alexander hasn’t been ruled out for an extended period of time and it seems like a week-to-week injury. Ahead of week 13, head coach Matt LaFleur wouldn’t commit to Alexander playing.
Matt LaFleur says it's still too early to know if Jaire Alexander will be available Sunday night.

Green Bay Packers Jaire Alexander Status For Sunday
The good news? Alexander was back at practice on Thursday after sitting out yesterday. The All-Pro corner has been inactive for the last three games though it seemed he was close to going last week before being a last-minute scratch. Green Bay is rightfully cautious with its top corner. While the team wants him on the field as much as possible, they are thinking of the long term. His being at practice is an indicator that he is closer to seeing game action which should be good news for fans.
Haven’t Missed Him Much
The Packers aren’t rushing Alexander back partly because of the play of their secondary. Carrington Valentine has looked great starting at cornerback and fellow seventh-round rookie Anthony Johnson Jr. has also filled in nicely. With Eric Stokes still injured and Rasul Douglas gone from the team, this secondary has held their own. It is a huge positive for the team long term. Once Alexander is healthy, he can come back in and help this unit dominate opposing receivers.
The Green Bay Packers are hoping that Jaire Alexander can go on Sunday night. It is a huge matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs and if they can win, it would be a huge confidence boost to this team.
