According to multiple reports, four players with the Detroit Lions and one with the Washington Commanders were suspended by the NFL in connection to betting. The Lions released Moore and Cephus shortly after the news came out. It’s a significant shake-up for the Lions ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft next Thursday. Williams was the only projected starter for the 2023 season of the four Lions suspended. However, the team has now lost several crucial depth pieces at the wide receiver and secondary positions. It’s a big shake-up for a team that is the favorite to win the NFC North in the early offseason.
