The Green Bay Packers own the 25th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Cornerback is going to be the primary focus mainly with that selection in the 2024 NFL Draft at least in the first round. There have been a ton of NFL Mock Drafts going on as of late.

Bleacher Report released an NFL Mock Draft on Monday and the NFL Draft will be at the end of the month. It went over the entire first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and who each team would select.
Bleacher Report Has the Green Bay Packers Selecting Iowa Hawkeyes Cornerback Cooper DeJean With the 25th Overall Pick In the 2024 NFL Draft

There is no doubt that the Packers are going to draft a cornerback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. What is interesting about this selection of DeJean is that will he even be available at the 25th pick by the time Green Bay drafts? He has been all over the place in different mock drafts.

The Bleacher Report Scouting Department said about the Green Bay Packers making this move:
“The youth movement on the Green Bay Packers offense is extremely exciting. As such, general manager Brian Gutekunst can turn his attention to the other side of the ball, which is transitioning to a different scheme under new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, who should turn up the pressure quite a few notches after Joe Barry’s tenure. Green Bay already features Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes and Keisean Nixon at cornerback. Alexander has played 53 percent of the Packers games the last three seasons, though, and dealt with back and shoulder injuries during the 2023 campaign. Stokes played in all of three games last season, and the organization still has a decision to make regarding his fifth-year rookie option. The selection of Iowa’s Cooper DeJean is as much of a safety net as it is adding a premium athlete and quality defender.”
The issue with the current cornerback situation with the Green Bay Packers is that Alexander missed time with injuries and so did Stokes. DeJean also missed some time last season with an injury with the Iowa Hawkeyes. He recorded 41 tackles, picked off two passes, and had five pass deflections last season with Iowa.
He is 6’1″ and weighs 207 lbs. There is no doubt the Green Bay Packers would be getting another great athlete with this cornerback selection. There will be several names other than Cooper DeJean being floated around at the cornerback position before the 2024 NFL Draft.
