The Green Bay Packers are potentially looking at Clemson Tigers cornerback Nate Wiggins as a prospect for the 25th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Green Bay can very well draft a cornerback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In the last two seasons with the Clemson Tigers, Wiggins started in 18 of the 23 games, broke up 22 passes, recorded three interceptions, and had two of those interceptions returned for touchdowns. Over the last two seasons, Wiggins has also recorded 58 tackles.
He is 6’2″ and weighs 185 lbs. Some of the other key information about Wiggins in this draft class as written by Mike Spofford of Packers.com by saying:
“Blazed a 4.28-second 40-yard dash at the combine but strained a hip flexor and did not finish all the workouts in Indy. Recorded his first collegiate interception in the 2022 ACC Championship Game, picking off North Carolina QB Drake Maye and returning it 98 yards for a TD. Also had a blocked field goal in that game. Again intercepted Maye, a projected high first-round draft pick, in 2023, and chased down a North Carolina ball carrier after a 64-yard run to force a fumble at the goal line, reportedly reaching 22 mph on the sprint.”
Nate Wiggins was also named to first-team all-ACC this past season with Clemson. He has the potential to be a starting cornerback in the NFL.
Clemson Tigers Cornerback Nate Wiggins Isn’t the Only Cornerback the Green Bay Packers are Looking At

With the Packers needing to take at least one or two cornerbacks with one of their 11 selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, Wiggins would be a very good option for them but he isn’t the only cornerback they are looking at. Kool-Aid McKinstry from Alabama, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. from Missouri, and Cooper DeJean from Iowa are three of the other cornerbacks they are potentially looking at.

With Jaire Alexander having health issues as of late, they need to find that reliable top cornerback to shut down the other team’s wide receivers. Green Bay has to face players like Keenan Allen, D.J. Moore, Jordan Addison, Justin Jefferson, and Amon-Ra. St. Brown in the division twice a season. The backend of the defense was an issue last season and they will look to improve it before the 2024 season whether they draft cornerback Nate Wiggins from Clemson or not also.
