The Green Bay Packers front office has been hectic so far this offseason. They have been getting ready for the NFL Draft and signing some free agents. The Packers would sign players from other teams and resign some key players back to the team.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur talks about defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley during a press conference Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Dan Powers/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin.

As free agency starts to slow down, full details of the player’s contracts are beginning to be revealed. Two contracts of two players the Packers brought back were revealed today.

The Green Bay Packers and AJ Dillon would agree late last week. Dillon, entering his fourth season, signed a four-year qualify contract. It is a type of contract that isn’t seen very often, but this is the definition from NFL.com:

Another type of veteran salary benefit, it can be offered to a player with at least four credited seasons whose contract with a team has expired after being on said team for four or more consecutive, uninterrupted league years prior to his contract expiring.

The details of Dillon’s contract were revealed from Ken Ingalls on X.

This means Dillon will absolutely have to earn his job in camp. If he’s released he will only count $167,500 in dead cap. Dillon’s presence shouldn’t change the draft strategy whatsoever. If he’s good they keep him on a min deal. If he’s not, small price to move on. https://t.co/eRUZio32SW

One of the moved the Packers wanted to make this offseason was to bring back All-Pro kick returner, Keisean Nixon. Nixon and the Packers would agree to a three-year 18 million dollar deal to remain with the team. The contract was broken down to these terms.

    Three years 18 million.

    2024: $6.5 signing bonus, $1.125 base.

2025: $2.8 RB because of fifth year in the league. $1.17 base.

    2026: 4.3 million base.

Each year will have a $200K workout bonus and $500K roster bonus.
