Giannis Antetokounmpo Sets NBA Twitter Ablaze After Second Warning to Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo made headlines again on Wednesday after he reiterated his desire to leave the Milwaukee Bucks. He didn’t exactly say he intends to leave tomorrow, but the seven-time All-Star made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t bluffing when he previously said that he will jump ship if he doesn’t win a championship with the Bucks soon.

You could see this as sort of a second warning from Giannis as he doubles down on his intentions. In his latest statement, the Bucks talisman said that he will walk away if “people are not committed as I am” to winning a championship, which at this point, is without a doubt the most critical objective for Antetokounmpo.

Giannis did not hold back. He erased any and all doubt people may have had regarding his earlier remarks by blatantly saying that he will join another team if he feels there’s a better chance of winning a chip there:

“I’m a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I’m a winner,” Giannis said. “I want to win. I have to do whatever it takes for me to win, and if there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O’Brien I have to take that better situation.”

Unsurprisingly, Antetokounmpo’s bold statement has set NBA Twitter on fire. This is one of the top superstars in the game today, and for him to come out with such a contentious claim is making fans imagine all sorts of possible future scenarios for the former back-to-back MVP.

As you may have expected, Bucks fans got themselves trolled after this development surrounding their (soon-to-be-former?) cornerstone superstar:

Sounds like he's either putting early pressure on the Bucks or he's already out of there mentally

He might as well have just said… “I’m leaving the Bucks at the end of this contract”

The Los Angeles Lakers were one of the teams that were heavily linked to Antetokounmpo since he came out with his bold declaration, and naturally, the LA faithful just had to make noise after hearing Giannis’ latest warning to Milwaukee:

Golden State Warriors fans weren’t going to be left out either:

This situation is getting pretty crazy right about now, and it does not seem like this is going to die down anytime soon. Especially if Giannis keeps on reiterating his desire to jump ship.
