The Packers are in a must-win situation for the rest of the season. They have a big test on Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings. As with any week, the Packers are trying to get key players healthy. One of those players is David Bakhtiari. His status has been up in the air since his emergency appendectomy a couple of weeks ago. David Bakhtiari’s status for Sunday was revealed today by Matt LaFleur.
"I fully expect Dave to play." Coach gives Bakhtiari the green light for Sunday.

David Bakhtiari’s Status
Matt LaFleur said the words that Packers fans were hoping for. “I fully expect Dave to play,” LaFleur said. It looks like the Packers will have their top tackle back for a pivotal game. With the Vikings pass rush, especially on the edge, the team really needs their offensive line to be at the top of their game. While Bakhtiari has dealt with injuries throughout the season, when he is on the field, he is highly effective. It was great to hear that David Bakhtiari’s status will most likely be active for Sunday’s game.
Way Different From Week 1
The Packers’ offensive line looks very different from when these two teams met in week 1. Bakhtiari was still rehabbing. Elgton Jenkins was not back yet either. Yosh Nijman was protecting Rodgers’ blind side with Royce Newman at right tackle. This line has come a long way. Nijman is also rehabbing an injury from Sunday’s game but is trending in a positive direction as well. With Bakhtiari, Jenkins, and hopefully Nijman playing, the Packers will have their preferred offensive line.
It was great to hear David Bakhtiari’s status from Matt LaFleur today. The Packers will need all the help they can get as they try to knock off the Vikings.
