When it first happened, the Davante Adams trade to the Raiders shocked the NFL. At the time no one thought Green Bay would move on from their superstar wide receiver. Now we sit nearly 6 months later and countless details have emerged as to why the trade took place. The only thing left to figure out is how Adams’ season will go without Aaron Rodgers. Week one seemed like Davante Adams didn’t skip a beat. He finish with 140 receiving yards on 10 receptions. Week two, however, was a different story.
Davante Adams Has Worst Game Since 2017
Late in OT Vs the Cardinals, the Raiders were driving. Davante Adams did what he does best and got open in the middle of the field. Derek Carr then throws this pass, and you can see Adams’ frustration on the field:

Davante finished the game with 2 receptions on 7 targets for 12 yards and a touchdown. The last time he had less than three catches in a game he played in was Week 7 of the 2017 season with Brett Hundley as his QB. Absolutely shocking.
It was obvious that Carr wanted to get the ball to Adams late in the game. Missing the wide receiver that badly, however, clearly had Adams feeling frustrated. Social media reacted accordingly to Davante Adams frustration on field:
All I’m saying is, I’ve never seen Davante Adams make that type of face when Aaron Rodgers was throwing him the ball pic.twitter.com/Pj1XdGmMHv

No one expects this type of performance to happen regularly for Adams. He is way too good to be kept in check like this on a weekly basis. Nonetheless, it is pretty shocking to see Davante Adams finish with that stat line. It is just as shocking to see Derek Carr miss Adams that badly late in the game. Davante couldn’t believe it either. Going forward it will certainly be interesting to see Sammy Watkins and Allen Lazard’s stat line compared to Davante’s by season’s end.
