The Dallas Cowboys reportedly rendered their decision as to who would be on the depth chart during Sunday’s Wild Card matchup with the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys listed backup quarterback Cooper Rush on the injury report Friday afternoon for an illness.
Rush was listed as questionable to play the Packers due to the illness. He did not practice with the Cowboys on Friday after being a full participant on Wednesday and Thursday. However, the Cowboys appear to trust Rush over former San Francisco 49ers first-round pick Trey Lance for Sunday despite the illness.
The Dallas Cowboys make their decision on Rush
According to Ed Werder with ESPN, the Cowboys are planning to have Rush as the second-string backup behind Dak Prescott against the Packers
Even though backup QB Cooper Rush missed the final two days of practice with an illness, I’ve been told current expectation is #Cowboys will have their regular QB depth chart with Rush behind Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys’ best bet to beat the Packers is for neither Rush nor Lance to play Sunday. Prescott comes into the game hot after a regular season performance that will make him a finalist for the NFL MVP.
