The Green Bay Packers are supposedly being mentioned in conversations when it comes to a star college football player. There are not many bigger news stories in the Colorado Buffaloes. It was Deion Sanders’ first head coaching gig in the FBS when the Buffaloes surprised everyone with a 45-42 victory over No. 17 TCU on the road. Colorado entered the game as a 20-point underdog.
Travis Hunter, one of their star players, had a game for the ages. Hunter played 129 snaps in both offense and defense. There were 160 snaps in the game. In the past 20 seasons, Hunter is the first player in the FBS to have a game with at least 100 receiving yards and an interception in the same game. Today, Hunter announced that many believe he will be suiting up for the Packers once he goes pro.
Colorado Buffaloes Star Travis Hunter: “Everyone Says I am Going To The Green Bay Packers”
On the first episode of his BleacherReport talk show, 12 Talks, Hunter announced which NFL teams he’d like to play for.
While Hunter admitted that the San Francisco 49ers were his favorite team, he decided to take a slightly different approach with his response.
The 20-year-old commented about the idea of playing for a team he said he’s been connected to. The Green Bay Packers:
“Everybody I talk to, says I’m going to Green Bay, I don’t know why,” he continued. “But Green Bay is cold. I don’t got a problem with the cold. Why I gotta go to Green Bay?”

Hunter also stated “If I had a say, I like staying in Colorado,” indicating he wouldn’t mind landing with the Denver Broncos when his draft day comes.
The Sophomore has played one game so far this year. Albeit an incredible game, there is still much more football to be played. It will be interesting to see how long he stays in college, what the rest of this season looks like, and what position he decides to play permanently.
